Affiliate links
Rock Atlas earns a small commission when you click certain outbound links and make a qualifying purchase.
Specifically, links to Apple Music and Amazon include affiliate identifiers
(at, ct, and tag URL parameters). The commission funds research,
article writing, and infrastructure costs for the archive — it does not influence editorial choices.
Recommendations and rankings are independent.
What about other platforms?
Outbound links to platforms without an affiliate program — Spotify, YouTube, YouTube Music, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Last.fm, and Discogs — are still tagged with UTM parameters. UTM tags are an analytics convention; they tell the destination site (and our outbound-click reports) that the visit came from Rock Atlas. No money changes hands on those links; the tags are diagnostic only.
Compliance
Affiliate links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute as
recommended by Google.
This page acts as the FTC-required clear and conspicuous disclosure.
Want to support Rock Atlas without buying anything?
Sharing an article, linking to it from your own site, or telling a fellow listener about a band you discovered here all help — search engines and word-of-mouth are how this archive grows.
